Tournament Rules:

• No wrist watches, or any electronics are allowed. if found, the player looses the match instantly.

• Appeals :

The Chief Arbiter Decision will be final & binding to all. In case of any discrepancy, the matter will be handed over to the Appeals Committee. Details of this committee will be informed during the Players’ meeting before the start of the First Round.

• Default Walkover Time: 10mins

• All Standard AICF & FIDE Rules are applicable

• Note that this is not a FIDE Rating Event

• Minimum Moves before Draw by agreement can be declared is 25

Tie Break Rules (As proposed by AICF for FIDE Rating Events)

1. Tie Break1: Buchholz Tie-Break Variable (2026) (Gamepoints, Cut1)

2. Tie Break2: Buchholz Tie-Break Variable (2026) (Gamepoints)

3. Tie Break3: Sonneborn Berger Tie-Break Variable (2026) (Gamepoints)

4. Tie Break4: Direct Encounter (DE)

5. Tie Break5: Number of wins including byes (WIN) (Gamepoints, Forfeited games count)

6. Tie Break6: Number of games won with black (BWG) (Gamepoints, Forfeited games count) 

(as per latest regulations, no virtual opponents are considered, and pre-determined forfeits are treated as regular games)

Prizing Rule:

1. Only 1 Higher Value Eligible Prize shall be awarded

2. Higher Cash Prize Amount will be preferred before Higher Rank for multiple category eligible prizes, and it shall be awarded according to the aforementioned priority sequence (Open > Regional > Fix Age Category Group)

3. A player will not be considered for a higher category (age, or rating)

General Queires (FAQs):

1. Move Completed (by Pressing clock) before making move is illegal (Pressing clock before making a move)

2. Making 2 move is irregularity but treated as illegal (time penalty is given). Here, 2nd move is disregarded.

3. Making a Moves without Pressing clock. Leads to possibility of Flag Fall. If opponent makes their move, its a form of Pre-move. That is irregularity.

4. If a wrong move is made, that is illegal.

5. Giving correct is responsibility of the player. Pairings don't change once published.
